Another weekend of bushwalking – and a very different type of bushwalk. Still can’t get over the phrase bushwalk.
The trail was very different from the ones in the Blue Mountains, this one was along the Macquarie Rivulet and had lots of interesting segments. It starts off with some very viney bits along a narrow path, then we crossed the river across some boulders and encountered a section affected by a recent land slide and was lost for a little while.
Wandered our way back along the rivulet and had lunch by the rocks – we never made it all the way to the Balancing Rock but had fun near another equally interesting giant boulder anyway.
It was so nice to be surrounded by such different vegetation, and the trail makes you feel a little bit like Tarzan sometimes just because there were so many vines.
