Hallstatt is the epitome of a quaint little European village. This was a nice little day trip from Salzburg, the (tiny) ferry ride itself to the village was a dream.
I was there during Christmas holidays – a lot of the shops were closed but luckily there was at least one restaurant open. Walking around the village with all these little stacked houses in every direction made it feel like a real-life version of Disneyland.
